Highlights from the apron exhibition that opened today at the Old Courthouse.

All Ford Classic Car Show

Flower Show 2007

This was the first time I'd seen the flower show since I'd moved here. It was held in the spacious town hall and fabulously presented. The smell of the lilies and every other variety of flower hits you as you walk in the door. There were single stem exhibits, homemade crafts, vegetables, photos, and many entries from the young folk of the town. Winners will get the silver cups and plates.

New art exhibition

The Otautau Creative Arts Trust have installed a new semi-permanent exhibition at the Old Courthouse. The featured artist is Kim Leslie, a local artist with a lot of flair. Here are a few of the chalk pastels on sale in the exhibition. Drop by the Courthouse any Sunday, 2-4pm to see the exhibition.

Busy week

This weekend we'll have a classic car show at Holt Park, and the museum is putting on an exhibition of aprons Pulling Strings -- Aprons of Yesteryear.
