As usual, the Otautau Anzac Day had a good crowd, great pipe band, and, thankfully, good weather. Pictured above is the parade marching in the blue morning haze toward the Town Hall after the speeches, laying of wreaths and singing of songs at the Otautau War Memorial.
At the hall, Brian Drummond, head of the Otautau RSA spoke to the crowd. He passed out awards and acknowledgement to three Otautau School students, and thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who made the ceremony and tea happen. Lastly, he mentioned with regret that this would be the last Anzac Day in the Town Hall; and that after June, there would be no more bookings accepted for the hall.
