Christmas Street Fair

The annual Christmas Street Fair was great fun. All the Christmas festivities, mixed in with catching up with folks you'd been meaning to talk to, plus fundraising for local groups, ticked a lot of boxes in just one summer evening.

The Otautau School choir took the stage early and serenaded us with Christmas carols including the very challenging Twelve Days of Christmas (Kiwi style). After their set, a stream of young karaoke hopefuls bravely sang their way into teenage infamy with hoots and hollers from their peers.

After hours of face-painting, treat-eating and bouncy-castling, the long-awaited Santa Claus Lolly Scramble took place down Main Street.

One of the cutest goodies you could buy for your sweet tooth was this marshmallow snowman. So cute!

Looking forward to next year's fair already.

If you have pics for the blog, please send them.
